Twin
Cities Squadron is a US Naval Sea Cadets Corps unit in St. Paul, Minnesota. We are a non-profit youth-development program for male and
female US citizens ages 11-17. Our mission is to provide American youth
mental, moral, and physical training through naval related instruction.
Our cadets are instilled with a sense of patriotism, duty, self-respect,
and respect for others. Our program is entirely drug-free and gang-free,
and is staffed by unpaid adult volunteers. Naval Sea Cadets are
authorized to wear the US Navy uniform.
Twin Cities Squadron drills at the Ft. Snelling Navy and Marine Corps
Reserve Center one weekend per month. In addition to monthly drill
weekends, we participate in parades, training events and field trips,
fundraising activities, and social events throughout the year. Cadets
also attend summer trainings on real military bases and ships each
summer. There is also an international exchange program where we train
with cadets from other nations.
Sea Cadets does not entail any type of military obligation, but it’s a
great way to “test drive” the Navy. If cadets pursue a career in the
military, they may compete for officer commissioning programs or they
may enlist at an advanced pay grade in any branch of the military.
College scholarships are also available to eligible cadets. Take a
closer look and see if you have what it takes to Test Your Limits.
